Vette(s): 1970 Corvette.

This 1970 Corvette was ordered from GM Overseas Distribution Corp/Aloha Motors in Honolulu, Hawaii on March 31st., 1970 by an airman stationed in Hawaii and serving in Vietnam. The original owner took delivery on June 13th., 1970 at the Dealer of Record, Berger Chevrolet, Grand Rapids, Michigan.

This Corvette features the rare color of Laguna Gray only available on the 1970 Corvette. According to the C3 Registry and Corvette Black Book, approximately 6.63% of all Corvettes produced in 1970 received this color. This Corvette retains its original LS5 454/390 hp motor with 500 lb.-ft torque and Compression Ratio of 10.25:1 and 45k Original Documented miles as of 2022. Factory Options include Black Leather Custom Interior, 4-Speed Close-Ratio Transmission, G81 Optional rear Axle, Rear Window Defroster, Power Brakes, Tilt-Telescopic Steering as listed on the original Corvette Order Copy/Tank Sticker. This Corvette is also listed as an EXPORT VEHICLE on the Build Sheet which I assume is due to being order through GM Overseas Distribution. The Body Build Date is E29 (May 29th) with the Official Build Date of June 1st., 1970 indicating this Corvette was started on Friday and completed on Monday. Corvette retains its original Owners Manual and Warranty Book with protecto-o-plate.

I acquired this vehicle in 2021from the original owner’s wife.
