I've wanted a C3 Corvette since I was in the 7th grade. Life involved getting married and having kids so I couldn't afford one for all those years. I did own three other corvettes that I loved but they were a 1986, 1998, and 2004 models and we're not my dream car. I, specifically, wanted a 1968, or 1969. I finally found a 1969 convertible in Florida, I'm in Texas, that looked great but I was unable to travel there. I took a huge risk and purchased the car and had it shipped to me. I had buyer's remorse for two full days as the car came with oil and transmission fluid all over it from another car on the transport. It ran pretty bad and was definitely missing. The brakes were really weak. The turn signals didn't work either. I spent the entire weekend cleaning the car, putting new spark plugs , and wires, in it. I put new calipers and brake pads on the rear and replaced a bad brake line. I cleaned the carburetor and then got all the lights working. I had to replace several vacuum lines so that the lights, and wipers, would work. After two days of work I took a deep sigh of relief and fell in love with the car. I still have her and it's truly my dream car now as I've added leather seats and Vintage Air.
