Carl,
Welcome to the pool. The waters always fine in here. We can help you with just about anything, but, please remember WE DON'T DO WINDOWS. Purple El Cabong? Well at least it's GM. By the way, ever seen Candy Burgandy? Killer purple color. My son in law has it on his 66 Tempest with Teal green interior. (purple and green r duaghters favorite colors). Sorry I'm ranting.
Anyway, welcome Carl. You are home now.
Jim (better know as Al)

Vette(s): 1976 stingray, L48 COUPE, TH350 Automatic WITH A ZZ4 355 HP 350 C.I. MOTOR, 750 cfm HOLLY, EXTERIOR RED, INTERIOR BUCKSKIN, SMOKE BLACK GLASS TEE TOPS.
Thanks Al! My freinds call me Carlos even tho I'm Italian...lol

I haven't seen Candy Burgandy but It sounds like it would be nice on a big old Buick or one of the classic sleds. Not on my vettte. No more purple for me. The flame is burning bright with this red I got now.

Hey Terry! I can't say I will be ready for a long trip for awhile as I just got the vette a month ago and still haven't had any review of what it needs to make her dependable. I have her in storage and will be working on installing a new luggage rack I bought today. This will be the first time I worked on her. I was planning on going through the brakes and suspension first thing this spring, fixing the inoperable speedo and Tac and then I might take a local trip in July accross the cascade mountains to Leavenworth as a trial trip (250 miles round trip). I will be looking into trips with ya all after that if all goes well. Thanks for the invite!!

[QUOTE=Red Vette-76]Karen, Here are some details for you to consider: This price of $6,000 is VERY REASONABLE with what I have put into it. All new Chrome and No rust. Runs strong! Engine / Drive Train / Exhaust:
350 C.I. / 390 H.P / Comp 270H CAM / Barry Grant Speed DEMON 750cfm carb
TH350 Transmission w/ B&M 2400 Stall Converter and shift kit
Rear end - 3.55 Posi-traction
Boxed rear control arms
Headers w/ Flow master 2 1/2” dual exhausts and 3” Race Cutouts
Malibu trim package with Front split seat from Ford Ranger pickup
Tachometer, AM / FM / CD Player
Paint “1970 Mopar - Plum Crazy Purple, base coat / clear coat”
The car sounds great! If it hadn't been for a lot of house "stuff" going wrong, we might consider it. We had a pipe break in an interior wall. Damaged all 3 bathrooms. Insurance will pay most but we've decided to make some other changes while the builder is here.
Sure is tempting though!

I have stored the car at my sister-in-law's every winter and that's where it's now. The pictures you see are only 3 months old so that's what she looks like for real.
I will be selling her for real (with adds in paper etc) starting in March / April so you can think about for awhile if your truly enterested let me know and give me a phone number. I have listed it in the non-vette related fourm section on this web site under the non-vette for sale post.

[QUOTE=Red Vette-76]Thanks Karmel!
It's tough laying on you back on a cold garage floor with a wrench and a screw driver in your teeth at my age. But on those hot saturday nights when your crusing with your lady it's like you were 20 again! No pain! LOL

Beautiful ride you have there! The color is awsome..
Thanks Carl, she was just painted last year. This is the original Dark blue
!! She really pops in the sunlight!! I was originally going to paint her red cause I thought red was the original color. When I gutted the interior, I found the blue was under there, and the paint code confirmed it.

Yours looks great too!!
Always love a red Vett!!
