Inside behind your drivers side seat, left side on the rear wheel you should see the knob for the rear window glass release. Pull that until you hare two clicks. The rear glass 'should' pop open by itself. If it doesn't open by itself, just go outside and grab hold the glass window and pull up 'not hard'. Then the struts should open the rear glass rest of the way.
If your rear glass doesn't open with hearing the clicks that release the rear glass window. Your cord is broken. They do not make these anymore.
Anymore help let me know or seek help on the '82 Registry.

No it's not that.everything is hooked up and it did work but the hinges have spread out a little too much so I had to close it so it wouldn't pop open while I was driving down the road.It did that one day so I had to turn the little tits that hang down off the window so they would stay latched.Hope that makes since. The guy I bought the car from had to fiddle with it to get it to work right. Also installed a new weather strip. It's just those hinges.I supposed I could still get it to open but it to much trouble.I NEED NEW HINGES.or get brave enough to try and adjust the ones on there.

OK.... You or a shope can adjust them. The screws inside should be adjusted. But, you should already know that from the '82 Registry. I haven't yet had troubles with them. My problem is still with the rear weather strip. Leaks when we have down poors... But I will fix that shorty.
I don't know what else to say. I think the '82 Registry is and still looking into that problem..

Good Luck

Zgator,
Welcome to the C3VR, and I have to tell you, I was in the Army, at Ft. Benning, in the early 90's. I had the opportunity to visit Savannah once, and I didn't want to leave.
Folks, if you ever get a chance to visit Savannah, do it. This is the most beautiful town in the whole Country. And there's something about the way that those Georgia "Peaches" say sugar, that make your knees useless when they talk to you.
One of my fondest memories was when a gorgeous woman from Savannah said three words to me. But it was the way she said it...
"Good Morning, Shugah."
And I responded with a very manly...
"Uhuhuh doooahhhhh...woooeaow."
Beautiful town. I hope I will get a chance to visit it again one day.
Take care, and tell that redhead I said "Uhuhuh doooahhh."
Alan
