Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.
Welcome Steve
Tell us a little more about your car. Where did you get it what are you looking forward to doing with it? What made you decide on a C3 corvette?

First Vette I have ever owned
Here is what brought me to getting a corvette. I have always worked on classic cars. Mostly British cars (60's). But then I had a few kids and had to give it up for a while.
A few months ago my son and I decided to buy a corvette together. I cannot think of any other sports car that is more of an icon than a corvette (plus I have always wanted one).
I was leaning toward a 74-75, but I drove this 81, and really liked it.
Heading to the historic races in Portland this weekend to show it off.

How old is your son? I guess I should say how long before he can actually get the keys to the vett?

My 16 year old grandson called me the other day (he call often lives 1500 miles from me) in the conversation was "do you still have the corvette" later "are you going to bring it with you sometime".
So I asked him when he got his learners permit his answer was last week.
