Welcome Mark! Always glad to have another '74 here, even if ebo did invite you

This is a great place. I discovered it after getting a flyer at Carlisle back in '06, and I've been here ever since.
I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!
Welcome, Mark! You'll find that this is the best site on the net for C3 info and talk! Enjoy!

Welcome to the C3VR family, Mark (carelessmoker).

Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.
Welcome Mark
Post some pictures. Slightly modded sounds interesting. Tell us something about your car.
How did you come to own it and what are your plans for it?
How did you find us anyway?
Good to have you on-board.

Vette(s): 1974 Corvette Coupe. Number matching. Slightly modded
Hi everyone and thanks for the warm welcome!
I live up by the Carlisle Fairgrounds and went to the Corvette show (my first car show) about 9 years back. I was looking for something to take the place of an old 91 Wrangler my wife and I drove around on the weekends. She saw the Corvette said it was bigger and much cooler than a BMW Z3 I was considering so without thinking twice I handed over darn near asking price (before she changed her mind) and away we went. The car runs good and sounds great. Lucky for me since I'm just a wanna be car guy it is a fine car and never really needed much other than a tune-up and inspection now and then.

Looking forward to meeting everyone and hoping to help and learn as much as I can.
Thanks to the gentleman I met at this years show for pointing me to this terrific forum. Sorry I did not get your name but I'll keep a look out for you on the road!
Best to everyone,
Mark
