Thank's for the welcome. I'm in total awe of your son's 78 Corvette. That is my ultimate goal. I'm retired and have the time now. I want to turn my car into a VetteRod. Can you fill me in on the size of the wheels and tires? Also the brand of wheels. Did your son use the offset trailing arms to get the larger wheels to fit? Did your son have to modify yhe wheel flares, front and rear to accommodate the larger wheels/tires? I also want to bond in the fiberglass front and rear bumbers as he did. If you would be so kind, to forward more pictures of the '78, I would appreciate it! Thanks again, Larry

Hi Larry,

Well, as for the '78 vette,  I bought it already flared out with the wheels that are on it.. they are an old discontinued Centerline rim, 8 inch on front, and i think 10 inch wide on rear, with a 275/60 on rear(15 inch rim) and 235/60 on front.  I'll have to double check on the rear tire size, almost positive its 275/60.. might be a 255/60.  probably a 275/75 knowing my memory(i've got one to many numbers floating around up there) actually the same size tires are on the '76 vette as well,  with no modifications.  I'd be more than happy to send some pictures,  just let me know where to.

jimmy...
