custom76,

Thanks for joining the C3VR and welcome to the SHARK POND

This would be a good time to show us a picture of that custom body.

The 'tars' are Mickey Thompson Indy profile SS's N-50 x15 (345x50x15)11.8 inches of tread. The car has plenty of grunt with the big block and a happy juice system. It has a reworked TH-400 behind it.I have a real blast driving it.It sure gets a lot of looks and thumbs up. The car wants to be driven hard though 'cause it loads up big time in slow traffic. That just give me an excuse to blow the carbon out if ya knows what I mean. Thanks for the interest and positive comments. Love this site. It's just what I've been looking for. Great Vettes, great times with a great bunch of people.
Phil

Great looking machine.
How does the exhaust sound?

The exhaust sounds very smooth and mellow with a nice cam rump. I do have a set of headers on the car but the stock exhaust (which is a little restrict at full throttle) will soon be upgraded to all new 2 1/2" pipes with Dynomax Super Turbo mufflers.I have these mufflers on my 67 Impala and they sound soooo nice. Very mellow yet athorative. A low rumble. Remember the car is a 76 which means there was no big block offered in the vette that year. A '66-'68 375hp 396 was shoehorned in that has a intake manifold #3933163 which was for the 375 396 and interestingly enough for a 425 hp COPO 427. I purchased the car this way. I am in the process of changing out the the nessesary items in the rear end to big block parts. ie the inner axles ect. Along with other mods. I made a set of ajustable camber strut rods and purchased a modified camber strut rod bracket with the pivot point 1" lower to help with tire camber contact through out the range of motion.
Thanks for asking.
   Phil
