Hi there,
Thanks for the welcome. I just took possession of a Lemans blue 1968 Corvette. It was purchased out of LA and transported to the Seattle area. Its in good shape, but does need a few things and I discovered the "overheating starter solenoid" problem on day one. The car recently had ceramic coated headers installed and here is no heat shield between the headers and the starter solenoid. So I drove it 8 miles from where it was delivered to my house. Turn the car off in the driveway and attempted to restart it and....nothing at the key. Did some research...saw this was a common problem. Let it cool down....and it restarted. So...I will start the process of making what is already a good car better!!!
I look forward to engaging with this community and am thanking everyone in advance for the questions I will no doubt have that the folks in here will have no doubt already answered...in triplicate perhaps!!!
regards,
Dan
