Hello, My name is Dennis as maybe you can tell haha. I'm 21 years old and about a year out of tech school. I have a lot of background in hot roding. To tell the truth the corvette is my dads car we bought it as a father son kinda project he buys the parts I put it all together. My hot rod is an 81 cutlass I swapped a 455 olds into and have been breaking it ever since haha.
The corvette means alot to my dad as it is to remember my grandpa who had all ways wanted one. The car is kind of a mutt you could say. It's a 79 that originally was blue on blue. acouple of years ago someone painted it white and put a fresh new blue interior in it. The paint isn't perfect but the interior is gorgeous.
The guy we bought it from attempted to do a cam swap in it and couldn't get it running again. so we got it for pretty cheap. I found out the cam was crappy and not fit for the car at all. I went for a more stock one and buttoned it back up with some headers and a new intake because he had also cracked the old one somehow.
The is just to be a good driver for my dad and mom. I hope to learn alot from you guys.

What a great story. This is a good place to collect information on C3 Corvettes. Lots of knowledge.
So what part of the country is the car? Post some pictures of it and of course let us know what type of help we can provide.

well I live in MN. I am unsure as to were the car came from. I never got around to checking that out. It has a kilometer cluster in it, but we bought it in Wisconsin and the seller couldn't remember where he bought it from. said he bought on Ebay....

I'm on acouple other forums because of my cutlass and enjoy hanging out and talking. I know when the snow is gone i will be ripping more apart and will have some questions as far as the body goes. I am working on photos as we speak.
