Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.

Vette(s): 1974 L82 Corvette Coupe
Thanks guys for the warm welcome!

My car is a 1974 L82 4 speed car.  Currently with Original Red Paint and now undergoing some small modifications after starting to smoke heavily a month ago.  Engine is out and found broken piston skirt on number five cylinder....Ouch.

I just finished a 398 cu in stroker motor to return under the hood for some additional motivation.  Shortly before or during the engine swap I have made some other enhancements.  Here is a list of some of the mods...

New 550# lowering springs
Bilstein sport shocks all around
Lowering bolts in rear
New Body Mounts
Stripped Anodize and Polished Rocker Panels
New 2.5in exhaust with C6 Flowmaster Tips through Flowmaster Series 10 muflers (removed spare tire to tuck them up nicely.
All new poly bushings...everywhere
18x8 Intro V-Rod Polished Billet Wheels up front with 245/45 Michelin Super Sport (4" offset)
19x10 Intro V-Rod Polished Billet Wheels in rear with 285/40 Michelin Super Sport (5.25" offset)
Rebuilt Brake Calipers, replaced Power Brake Booster (nice polished piece now, and rebiuilt master cylinder)
Rebuilt Saginaw Steering box
Rebuilt Power Steering Pump
Replaced Power steering hoses
Added Pace Car Spoiler to front of car
Replaced AC Compressor as it gets a little warm in NC with 400+ hp at your feet
Ceramic coated exisiting headers
Replaced all hoses with SS braided set and added lots of polished pieces
Added tall valves covers to accomodate a full roller rocker/roller cam setup
Updated distributor
Painted and Cleaned up the greasy mess under the hood ( leaking steering box and main seal)
Replaced clutch with Centerforce Dual Friction Set
Rebuilt Muncie gearbox with new synchros, forks, and seals

Okay...so I have a little work behind me and little more ahead.  At least the black leather interior is in great shape except...to repace the brake booster I have pulled the steering column and dash which is leading to...

Painting the Column
Replacing the Rag Joint
Cleaning up the wiring harness
Upgrading to LED dash lights...so I never have to pull the dash or get in the flooboard again...at least I hope.  :)

The work/fun never stops.  I am hoping to have my baby back on the road in roughly one month.  Everything is cleaned up, painted, and sitting waiting to be put back into the car at the moment.  I am heading to the shop to get back to it now.

I look forward to learning from you guys as well as sharing my projects and hopefully helping others.

Thanks again for the warm welcome
Dave
