Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.

right now I am going through the nerve-racking experience of shipping it from CA
any and all advice would be appreciated!
I am thinking about using Montway, they seem to have the best testimonials.....any input?

Original owner is 76 yrs. old now and I hear she is a real spitfire.......story is she marched into the Merced John Roth dealership in 1975 and demanded an L-82, 4-speed car......... I believe at the end of the '75 model year, California prohibited the L-82 engine being sold in CA (somebody please correct me if this is incorrect),......so the dealership in Merced had one shipped to them from Colorado and she kept if for the next 36 yrs.,.....pretty neat story
I am fairly certain the L-82 option was indeed completely banned for sale in CA by 1976 model year

Seller said it was a solid Hagerty "2" condition rating,......can't wait to get my hands on it!

My brother in law had a 53 olds woody shipped a year ago. If you are interested I can try and find out who he used. I was there when it was loaded and it worked out good.
However, I really believe that if you use any of the professional haulers you will be ok.

I went with United Car Transport,.....they were highly rated and are doing a superb job so far.
The Corvette was picked up early Sat. morning and should be here in ATL Wed.-Thu. this week,......feel like a kid on Christmas morning!
I just received the 1st pictures of the car on the truck, I am trying to post, it does not seem to be letting me post any pics,.....???

It's on it's way from Cali. right now, talked to the driver today and it should be in my driveway by Wed. evening.
Haven't been this excited in 20 yrs.!!!
* for anybody who would like to see this C3 in the N ATL area, this car will be at the Caffeine&Octane in Alpharetta for the Aug. 4th show!.....1st time it's been out of California!.....let's 'pray for no rain!!!
Hope to see you all there!........just look for the orig. blue & yellow California plates!
