Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.
There are lost of software that will do that I just pulled one down that looks good and it is Free for not commercial use.
This free program that will work on most PC XP and Win7 which I'm running. I just down loaded it and it looks good. All you have to do is select a folder and then pick a picture
Click the "Resize" check box
check "Keep Aspect Ratio
Change with to be 640
check "do not enlarge image
Leave the Quality where it is 80% is great for internet pictures
Select a folder to put your pictures in.
check "remember last folder" if you want to do that.
Then Click "Compress!"
I did it with your corvette picture and it took it down from 1.3 megs to 54Kbt. Anything less than 100Kbts is typically good enough I do not like posting anything of much detail that is less than 24Kbt in size.
By the way you can edit your post delete the big picture and replace it with a smaller one.
