Welcome to the forum Greg. I'm partial to the fastbacks myself. Please make yourself at home. Hope to see you around the place in the future.

Welcome Greg
Tell us something about how you came to own a C3. What condition is it in? and what are your plans?
Welcome to the C3VR family, Greg (Happypoppy).

The difference between men and boys is the cost of their toys!!
First of all, thank you all very much for the warm welcome.
I was watching a tv show a few weeks ago on Corvettes and their history. I was heading towards buying a Pontiac Firebird, but once I watched the show it tweaked my interest, so I started making enquiries, and yesterday i purchased a 9/79 Black Corvette My car is currently in Las Vegas, (and I am visiting Austin Texas and having a 2 day stop over in Vegas on the way back). I am divorced, and I am travelling with my eldest daughter Deb, who has been a great inspiration to me through the last two years of ill health. The car will hopefully arrive in Australia about the time I arrive in Vegas.
I plan on keeping the "Black Bitch" as I affectionately think of her at this stage. (Deb, however is calling her "Dad's Penis extension" as she thinks it is a mid life crisis. (she is wrong, the Mid Life crisis was the 97 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic wiith HRD sidecar I purchased 7 years ago, and still own today>!!!))
I plan to keep her pretty much stock. I love the lines and shape, and I have been to a car show today and saw many 'Vettes there, and think stock is the way to go. Not a big fan of the flashy side pipes, and think too many people have taken "Ladies, and turned them into Sluts, pardon my terminology. I do not plan on doing that.
I hope to enjoy drive days with other C3 owners, and generally enjoy life in the fast lane. As I said I have been quite unwell for 2 years and now that I can at least enjoy life, that is what I plan to do.
I would love to meet any other C3 owners in either Austin Texas, (Australian V8 Supercars racing there,) may 15th to 20th, and then our 48 hour day in Vegas (May 20-22). Thanks again for making me feel welcome here.

If I can remember correctly it is really easy.
The only issue you will have is the
size. It should be (I'm guessing now 100K)
it will get reduce automatically I believe.
Anyway get your picture put it on your computer desktop or someplace you
can find it easily.
Then sign on the
forum, go to My Account, My Profile. You
will see a place for Forum Signature you can put a picture of your car there
like I have. Below that you will see "Profile Picture".
In Profile Picture area, you will see a place to
select your image and then click upload an Image.
I believe that is all there is to it.
With the forum Signature you can get fancy
and link to places where you post pictures of your car. Some members have done that and it is a nice thing as it keep the storage size down on this forum. It need to be jpg or GIF and pay be a PNG file not sure. It seem most use jpg picture files. By the way most cameras store pictures in jpg. If you have a size issue and do not know how to reduce the size of the picture send it to me I will reduce it for you and send it back gilohatfield@sbcglobal.net
Just keep in mind when you post picture on
this forum make them a reasonable size less than 200K I think is good. Someone may correct that size I just have not
done it in so long I cannot remember.
Thank you very much for the reply. Trying to post

Well no luck with the photos yet, will keep trying.
As anew member I am pretty keen to gather as much information as possible on my C3 before she arrives in Australia (hopefully early May) > If anyone could help by suggesting good sites etc for information and reference I would be most grateful.
Also, you may have noticed my title of "lord Greg". This is actually an official title, but I still put my pants on one leg at a time!! If anyone is interested in the details, give me a yell. am happy to share.
