Welcome Linda
Tell us something about your 73 corvette. How did you come to own it what are your plans for it. Post a picture or two.

Low miles (was only 8,900 when I bought it in March 2006) - Now 54K miles. Original owner bought it as an investment for son's college expenses.

Welcome Linda! Can I assume from your screen name that you're here in Indy? We've got a number of members here. I live on the east side. Regardless, great to have you here!
I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!
Hi and thanks for the welcome. Back in 1981, I bought my first Corvette, it was a 1973 Elkhart Green coupe with the base engine. It had only 17000 miles on it and for me, it was about the biggest thrill of my life. I paid $7500 for that car from the original owner....long story short, the car was sold and I regretted it ever since. Struggled being a single mom, going through a divorce, raising a child. Always wanted to get my 73 back....so 3 years ago, finally decided if I was going to start taking care of the bucket list, better get to it. My 2nd vette, the one I have now, was originally from Texas, I bough ther from who I think is the 3rd owner (I have some documentation but not all) and had it shipped to Iowa from Florida. She is mostly original, has had some work done, there are some mechanical things, mostly annoyances but a couple really need attention, yet to do. So I plan to keep her, and drive her. She is not a show car, just a really nice driver. Once I get the power steering issue fixed, the tach working, the headlights, and the minor fluid leaks (differential, and power steering) taken care of, I will be happy. Glad to find this forum, hope to learn and pick some brains as I work through my 73 shark project :).
I'll post some photos when I can figure out what the problem is with my uploads.
Oh, I am not from Indianapolis....my nickname refers to a personality trait, google it and you will see. My 73 that I have now is white, with vinyl dark saddle interior. I bought a set of 4 new perfect reproduction tires for her last year from Kelsey Tire so she looks exactly like she would have when new down to the tires.
