Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.
Welcome
Sounds like a long history with corvettes. Tell us a little more about yourself and your current corvette. How did you come to own this one and what condition is it in.
Thank you for the welcome message. I came across this 1978 coupe through a friend of mine. It was special ordered white with red cloth interior, L82 4 sp. About 11 options total. Mileage is true at just shy of 9700. Second set of tires was put on July 2004 with 8600 miles. Shortly after the second set of tires were put on, the owner passed away. Only paint work I know of was a respray of the front bumper cover. I am looking for someone to verify the paint work though. I could sign up on the list and take it to Bloomington and get it inspected but not wanting to spend the fee for that right now. Anyway, I have a couple of tech questions I will post later. I got one noise that is driving me nuts and need some help from fellow members. (If I got something wrong with my cars profile, please point it out. I was punching buttons after my bed time and that isnt always a good thing !) Again, Thanks for the welcome aboard. Jon

Welcome Jon! A noise...if it's only one you're way ahead of the curve. Lot's of folks here that are very knowledgeable and helpful.

I hear ya Dave C. So far no serious fluid leakage or brake issues which usually happens when you wake up a Vette. Just this p.i.t.a. noise. I posted the issue in the "fuel" section, so maybe someone can confirm or offer up advice or just tell me I am nuts......Jon
