Glad you are giving us a look.  Now tell us something about your car.  Where did you get it?  How long have you had it/  What color and condition it is in.  Color only because some people thing red is the only color for a Corvette.  Of cource they are mistaken.Hug

Welcome Steve,
It is true that there are a LOT of smart people on this forum (and some strangly funny ones too).  There isn't much that can happen that some one in here hasn't had experience with!
RED Corvettes?  I didn't know that they made any of those?  OH-OH...MY bad....Wacko

Warning: The surgeon general has declared that it is NOT unhealthy to smoke your competition AND I just discovered that my corvette is a hybred.  It burns gas and rubber!

Thanks for all the Welcomes! My wife and I just bought our 79 a few weeks ago, it is our first but seems to be in very good shape. Replaced the radiator last weekend, needs new weather stripping all the way around and a good tune up but the rest seems to be great. Stereo Upgrade coming soon... Will post more pictures and information as we progress....Off course its Red, well, kind of, darker red maybe maroon (not stock color)

So much for colors other than red.

Almost anything you do to your car someone has done it or knows something about it.  So check in it can save you a lot of time and trouble.

For example you mentioned a stereo upgrade.  If you have stock speakers they may not take the upgrade very well.  But there are people on the Corvette Registry that can help with that issue if you need it.

The only thing you need to remember is you normally get better result is yo separate different issues.

Do not forget to look into past posts.  Weather stripping suggestion come to mind on that one.

Most of all enjoy your car.  Have fun.
