Thanks all. Don't have the c3 yet as I am still contemplating if this specific one is worth the gamble/time to save.
It's a real piece of work rust wise, no floorboards left at all, tunnel has little hope also. Not seen any replacment tunnels?
It's a 4spd so that's keeping me attracted at this point still.
Welcome to the C3VR family, Greg (mameman).

Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.
I would be real careful if it is badly rusted. You can get almost anything for these cars but the cost could jump real high quickly.

Mine was in really good shape but old and interior cracked from being left in the sun. No frame rust other than surface film California car. I will have about $10,000 more than it is worth and It will only be a really nice numbers matching driver.
Be careful before you buy. I really recommend you start a new post with some pictures of the car inside, frame, engine compartment and body. Provide them along with what the guy is asking and you can get some good ideas about what the real price should be. Also let us know your skill set. Some things can be done by one person whereas like me a lot has to be farmed out.
There is a lot of experience on this forum. People with good advice to help you see what kind of money you are looking at to get it back in shape.
By the way when you post your pictures be careful of the size sometime they are to big to view. If you take them with your phone you should be in good shape then of course you have to know how to get them off of your phone. I have not figured that out yet.
