"Money can't buy happiness -- but somehow it's more comforting to cry in a CORVETTE than in a Kia"
We live about 15 miles north of the vacation location of the smokies. We are 15 miles south of Knoxville and 15 miles east of Maryville in a community known as Seymour. I am a life long resident and love it here in the shadow of the smoky mountains. Sorry it has taken so long to reply, been busy with work. Hope to meet everyone in PF this summer. The wife and I are finding sitters for the kids and planning to cruise thru PF as much as possible during the gathering. Maybe pass thru PF once or twice! If you have ever been to PF in the summer you know what I mean. The traffic can be a nightmare. I have seen the trip thru PF to Gatlinburg a 5 to 10 mile trip take 4 hours at the peak of tourist season. I hope the traffic won't be that bad, but do be patient and I hope everyone enjoys there trip and will come back year after year. I have had the 80 corvette since 1982 when I turned 16. Luckily my dad was a vette lover also. I just bought the 81 in july of 05. I ran across it setting in a yard needing attention and after inquiring about the car I found the couple had purchased it from a family member. Some negotiating and 3 bills later I drove it home! I feel like I got a bargain. I hope to pass this car along to my daughter when she turns 16.
This is going to be a great event.
