Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.
I hope you are from the the south left coast (aka Southern California).  I'm not that knowledgeable on Corvettes but there are a bunch of guys that know their stuff.  And a few of us that are somewhat smart because we did thing wrong ones or twice or three times.  Ask and you shall receive an answer. 

For all of you ladies out there Websters defines guys as usable for both sexes.
