Rob Wow we are getting more and more people from Astrialia.  Add a few more and we will need to have a meeting.

What do you own and send us some info on it.

Vette(s): 1968 Roadster 327/350 4spd
Hi all,
My Vette is a '69 Roadster 327/350hp 4speed. The VIN # is 194678S407516. Its White with Black trim. I have almost finished a complete resto on it. Will send photo's when finished. As to the history of the car it was first owned by Judge Keene from Manhattan Beach LA who starred in the TV show Divorce Court and was the first judge in the Charles Manson trials. I have the POP plate with his name on it and most of the original books etc. I am trying to trace the rest of the owners but a US VIN search has been not helpful. The car was last seen at a Corvette only auction in mid 2010. The CAL rego number was 335 JWS.
All the numbers match with the build date of the car except the block ID is concerning me. The casting number is 3917291. Some publications show it as a 350 block while others show it as a 327 block. When the engine was pulled down it was 327 ci. Unfortunately the block vin/id on the r/h side cylinder head is missing and unable to be recovered.
I have spent approx $20,000 so far on the resto.  I have fitted alloy heads/Edelbrock manifold and carby, hc pistons and a 30 thou over bore with a full balance. With 4.11 gears it should be a good mover. All running gear has been replaced with new stuff. Its amazing what's available from the resto suppliers.
The car is currantly at the painters getting an original paint job. The body was in very good condition just 1 or 2 cracks and no crash damage. No rust has been found underneath as the chassis was about 3" thick in oil and grease. What a bugger to clean. A small hole was didcovered in the drivers footwell but has now been repaired.
Hope to have it on the road by Easter.

Thanks  Rob H

Sounds like a great car can hardly wait for the pictures.  Take some good ones and submit them for our 2013 calendar.  Look up the requirements for photo submission.  I know they may not be collecting them yet but will be later so you will have lots of time to find a great place for them.

You may want to pickup the current calendar besides great C3 pictures they are 2 for 1.
