Adam,
Thankyou for the warm greeting. I have a quick question I just purchased a 1976 Coupe (No pictures yet but soon only has 27K on it and well documented) This is my first Corvette by the way dreamed about it my whole life. My question is about exhaust I want to replace them it still has the catlytic converter on it. Can that be removed? What type of exhaust do you recommend?
Depends on where you are. If the car is over 25 years old removing the cat is no problem according to the EPA. Some states may go to 30 years.
If you are in an area where emission testing is performed, you need the cat under the year limit. Your 76 is past that. You don't need the cat.
