Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.
Welcome Tim
Nice project. Tell us a little about how you came to own it and what is first on your list of things to get done.

My dad passed away and left it to me and my fist thing on the bucket list is electrical work.

He was a Vietnam veteran and I am an Iraq veteran, but my disabilities prevent me from doing the work myself so its going to be a long slow restoration but it will be a memorial to our military service and them I want to take it to Bloomington gold, and the Corvette museum. I am originally from Ky and my dad passed on Dec 9, 2012, my birthday is the 12th and he was buried the 13th in Waddy, Ky. The first thing I want to do is drive it to his resting place and let him see that I kept his dream and legacy alive and kept my promise to him that I made before he passed. I also want to take his sister for a ride on route 66, as he had told her that's what he wanted to do.

Are you saying this was your dad's car? If so did he purchase it new or was it used?

He actually traded for it, and it had the original 305 cu in in it and he traded it for an older Buick, but the person didn't pay the money difference so my dad got the car back but the guy had bent a rod in the original engine, swapped a 350 in it and destroyed the interior of the car in the process and the odometer has under 30,000 miles on it.
