Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.

When you think you have found what you want tell us about it there are a lot of tips that could keep you from getting stung. May event be someone in the area that can help personally.
What year or type are you looking for got a price may be someone knows of one that is looking for a new owner.
Hey Gilbert!
Currently I don't have the funds to afford a Vette unfortunately! I'm a uni student with dreams of one day owning a Vette and restoring it as a project car! Though being in Australia I'm not sure how much it will cost (seeing as I'll need to convert it to right hand drive!). I'm graduating next year and hopefully will be able to save up the money required to start a restoration not too long after.
I'm most interested in 78's as I like the look, but really I like all C3's! I first saw a black '69 at the Sinsheim technical museum in Germany when I was living over there and I fell in love with Vettes. They're a rare sight around the streets where I live, but I've always been set on owning one.
I'm fairly keen to do a restoration, at first because I thought I might save some money, but I've realised it will likely end up costing me more! (Even with the great aussie dollar these days!). The more I think about it though the more I'd like to have a personal touch to my own car. I've never had a project car before, but I've competed in FSAE events at uni and I'm fairly technically minded, so hopefully it's something I will be able to do. Though I have to finish my garage first which is taking me a while!
It is very kind of you to show such an interest in helping me! I can't afford to own a Vette right here an now, but I'm just trying to do as much research into it as I can before I start!
Cheers, Sam

Welcome to the forum Sam. I had a buddy with a '75 with a built motor back in the late 70s in Nor Cal. Any chance .... ?
