Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.
Welcome looks like a nice C3
Tell us a little more about it and how you came to own it.

Thanks for the welcome messages.
I am a long time Corvette enthusiast. Purchased in 2012, this '72 is the third Corvette that I've owned. It isn't special by any sense of collector options, but being the final year for front/rear chrome bumpers, always loving the C3 design, complete/professionally maintained 2nd owner car and the fact I was also born in 72, it was special to me. My goal is to restore to near original.
Completed Work
- Brakes
- Shocks
- New exhaust
- Refreshed emblems
- Interior matching (some parts replaced over the years that were not matching by color or material - door sills, arm rest, map pouch, sun visors, window side post covers, rear view mirror)
- Dash refresh (painted metal parts, factory radio design, align interior panels, replace missing screws, light bulbs)
- Engine tune up (rebuilt carb, plugs, wires, coil, etc.)
- Rally wheels (remove rust, repaint, new beauty rings, polish center caps)
- Lights (replaced 2 side markers, fixed wiring for taillights, halogen headlights, vacuum fix for front headlights)
Future Work
- Touch up the body chips, cracks and replace front end
- Repaint (Original Ontario Orange, repainted in 78 to Mille Miglia Red)
- Rebuild front and rear suspension (Coil sag - 1.5" driver, 2" passenger, trailing arms are looking bad, will update to polyurethane bushings front and rear)
- Repaint frame
I look forward to reading through member posts and seeing other member projects.
