Welcome
Claude
I just was in Paris last month. Drove to Germany and onto Venice. Had a wonderful time. Glade you can join us.
Tell us something about your car. How did you come to own it. Heck it may even be one of the ones that a friend of mine restores and sell in Europe. He has sent at least 42 CE to Europe that I know of.
Good to have another 82 on the forum.

Hello, Corvette Friend!
I saw a Stingray Corvette in 1993 in an "old car" exhibition in Paris Le Bourget showroom. I felt in love with this design and in 1993 I bought a Collector's edition from a french garage near Mulhouse in the east of France. I really enjoy it and use it for cruising on touristic roads.
I only fear that one day the crossfire injection will let me down because I do not know if I shall be able to find somebody able to repair it or maybe I shall have to fix it by myself.
The only problems I have with it for the moment are a small leak in the automatic transmission and a few electrical bugs (for instance, the side mirrors cannot be anymore electrically operated)
A picture of my Collector's edition:

Hello Stingray75001.....
My wife is heading to Paris in 3 weeks with my daughter & granddaughter so I will have them look out for you....lol
They are going for the big horse show.
Welcome to the site.

On the mirrors is it both of them that do not work at all or is it one or the other? Maybe we can give you some pointers. Also how handy are you or do you plan on having someone else do most of the work?
You will need a 1982 Shop manual for almost anything that you do. I just found a site that put the GM manual on a CD and it is searchable. I have the paper copy and while I like that a lot a searchable CD would be a big advantage.
Let me know if you would like the info on the 1982 shop manual.
By the way nice picture. By your signature picture you were or are a commercial airlines pilot?
