Vette(s): 1970 coupe- Restoration and retransformation in progress

Thanks for the warm welcome! I'm the proud owner of my first vette, a 1970 coupe. I have a fresh (4k miles) 97 LT1 motor with a LT4 hotcam valvetrain kit that came from my camaro that got wrecked. Luckily I found a worthy recipient, as this car has no motor or front clip. What is left is in great shape and the price was too good to pass up, so as soon as the DMV clears all the paperwork I can start the restoration. The car had not been registered for a considedrable amount of time and passed through quite a few hands before I got it, but all the paperwork is in order. The car is registered but in NY I have to wait for a transferrable registration before I know I have a clean title car.

I'll be searching around here and won't be afraid to ask questions as they arise, and look forward to the interaction with fellow corvette owners. I hope to be able to freshen up this old classic for a fresh motor. An LT-1 hood, striping and badges with a feulie LT1 could be a hot car!
