Vette(s): 1976 corvette stingray needs restoration
Hi there. I just bought my first corvette a 1976 L-48 T-top all original in need of a lot of tlc and a few parts. The front and back bumpers are dicinagrated and the door panels and seats are shot.Bonus is its all there and unmolested.Question here is were to start..Frame off?? or just fix whats broke??
Hi and welcome to the site!
To answer your question, I guess it depends on what you want to do with the car. If it's going to be a "show Car", frame off. If it's going to be your "have fun, driving toy", fix it as you go along. That does depend on the condition of the frame and rest of the vehicle, and what it would take to make it drivable. Try asking your question in one of the mechanical forums and you'll get much more (and better) responses.
Good luck with your vette!!
