Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.
Welcome Troy
It is good to see you jump into the forum. Nice to have your knowledge.
By the way sometime it would be interesting to know why you purchased your corvette. You are the original owner so that would be interesting story.
I would guess there is not a lot of original owners around.
Hi to everyone,

Thanks for your warm reception. I look forward to learning the site. So far, it's been very interesting. I've tried a few times to upload photos, but not working. Perhaps it's because I'm just a limited member for now.
Gilbert asked why I ordered my Corvette. It was the dead of winter in Kansas City and I wanted to buy a convertible. Not much of a choice in 1975; Corvette, Cadillac and European cars.
My sister dated a guy who had a red '63 roadster and on a family summer trip in 1964 to Colorado he followed us in his Corvette. At one refueling stop, I got to ride with him. The family took off in our Riviera, so with no one around he let me drive it. I was 14. I took off west on I-70 in western Kansas and had to catch up to the family. I drove that thing at 100 MPH and I was hooked on a Corvette.
I walked into Van Chevrolet in mid-February, '75, browsed the brochure, asked a few questions and went home to study it. I returned the next day with the list of options I wanted and put down a $100. My car was build on April 5th and delivered on April 16th. The summer of '75 was a good one!
It has undergone a complete frame-off restoration of every part. It's a brand new car just like it was in '75. First time I showed my work, it scored Top Flight at the Texas Regional NCRS meet.
Talk to you all later,
Tory
