Vette(s): 1969 stingray, original 427 4 spd car, body only right now
thanks, i am picking up my first vette tomarow, it is a 69 stingray, i dont have vin #, and leaving early tomarrow before i can get a book, can somebody tell me which letter in vin or on plate would tell me it was a 427 4 spd car, would it be in vin or on plate, thanks.

I don't know how much of what you wish to know is told by the VIN #, there is a vin decoder under the tools heading at the top of the page. There several people that excel at that stuff here but you might try starting a new thread on the subject. They might not be looking here to assist with technical questions. Good luck and Welcome. (we're kinda the welcoming committee).
