Needing new tires for my '78.  My mechanic informs me that I need "special parts" in order to perform proper 4 wheel alignment.  Recommendations on part referenced and best place to purchase, please.

No "special" parts...just normal alignment shims for the front, and Corvette specific shims for the rear. Unless this shop has experience with doing the rear alignment on these cars, you may want to find a specialized SHOP to do the alignment.

The front end is standard General Motors construction. The rear end requires special shims for the trailing arms which are available in the aftermarket if your Chevy dealer doesn't have any.
