I think pulled pork for dinner Friday & a replay in sandwich form on Sunday at Sylvan Beach sounds great!  Do you want me to have Frank ask BBQ John what his cost for pork shoulder(s) is (or what his fav cut for pulled pork is)?  Might be able to score it pretty cheap Wink   How many pounds do you think we'll need?    Couple of years ago I did a roast pig w/ no seasoning & then made/bought 5 different sauces (like down TN) so everyone could do their own thing - just a suggestion.  Saturday Dinner......Hmmmmmmm........I'm thinking Beef & maybe shrimp appy or side dish?    Brisket?  Fresh Angus Burgers?  Sirloin?   What's everyone think?

Usually are at least 8 pounders, I did two last time. We get it at bj's for 199lb or a little less
We can do smash burgers on Sat. they are great! Depending on Dave and Marys arrival... will determine Sat cruise schedule....if it's a later cruise we can do dinner out.....but I'm sure we can do it cheaper at the ranch.......
I have 2 sauces I make a Red and a Yeller, and we can get a few store boughts also
And we can smoke a brisket also if you would rather do that.... the aint cheap but they are soooo good done slow and low.......
I'd love to know what Happy Jack recommends!

Only thing left for me is to clean out the toybox so at least 4 or 5 vette's can squeeze in there....6 was doable but not for a quick exit.
Weather is looking great.
This should be a super get together......
Any other day trippers?
You all should have recieved your gate passes to the resort in the mail by now. Thumbs Up
See you all soon!

Hey ebo.  My daughter got this from Syracuse University, don't know if it will impact travel back south from your place but I thought I would share it.  Still trying to figure out if I am coming to eboland Saturday or Sunday night.  If Saturday I will need an address since I wont see you at Vettes at the Beach first.  What can we bring???  Just let me know.  (I guess you can never have too much beer!)

You may want to let new students coming in for orientation in a few weeks that I-81 south will be closed for 10 days starting July 26th between the 690 interchange and 481 and then northbound for 10 days after that for the same stretch of roadway. This may affect people moving in- they should plan alternate routes into the city. Here is the post-standard article on the subject: http://www.syracuse.com/news/index.ssf/2013/07/its_construction_season_in_ono.html

From Jersey, it's a lot shorter taking the NY Thruway and  I287  in Jersey.
