Since there wasn't a lot of interest in the Zip-line, we've come up with a different agenda!
THURSDAY, OCT. 7
Meet & Greet @ Ogle Haus in Vevay, Indiana
7pm Travel to Mo's Steak House in Vevay (about 5 minutes away)
Back to motel OR travel to Shell's Ice Cream in Vevay (about 5 minutes away)
Free time (there is a free shuttle to Belterra Casino if anyone is interested)
FRIDAY, OCT.8
9am Assemble in Lobby for handouts and info for the trip to Madison, In
(there are museums, shopping, winerys etc). Lunch at the Lighthouse (weather
permitting) or Key West Shrimp Restaurant.
Late afternoon "road trip" to Clifty Falls State Park for photo op and see the "falls"
then eat in the Lodge at their buffet (can also order from the menu) $11.99 for the
dinner buffet.
Back to the Ogle Haus for some "social hours". Can also travel for some more ice
cream or go to Belterra Casino or drink Margueritas by the pool or in the gazebo.
SATURDAY, OCT . 9
9am Assemble in Lobby for handouts/maps/info for a trip first to Markland Dam
then on to Newport-on-the-levee (across from Cincinnati) for shopping, Newport
Aquarium, Breweries, etc.
6pm Board the BB Riverboat for a dinner cruise on the Ohio River. Cruise is from
7-9:30 and should be very beautiful since it will still be light enough to see some of
the shoreline and then when we reach port the Cincy skyline with all the lights
reflecting off the water is really spectacular. The menu is as follows:
Slow roasted beef brisket, roasted herb seasoned chicken, beer battered cod
with tartar sause, pasta primavera w/fresh julienne vegetables, parsley new
potatoes, sunshine blend of green beans, tossed mixed salad greens w/choice
of dressings, assorted salad accourtrements (I have no idea what that is), rolls
with butter, coffee or tea, and chef's choice of dessert.
The cost is $44.39 per person for a group of 15 or more. 60 and over is $43.15
This includes all taxes and port charges, etc. I will have to make reservations no
later than 2 weeks out and it will have to be paid by credit card. Full payment is
due one week before the cruise. So with all that being said, I need a count of all
those that would be interested in going because once we make the final payment
there are no refunds during that last week and anyone who cancels would still be
responsible for the dinner cruise payment. If anyone would like to see their web
site it's: www.bbriverboats.com
There's still time to sign-up so clear your calendar's and travel to Southeastern Indiana for
some good food, great sights and best of all C3VR friends
Butch & Jani

SUNDAY, OCT. 10
TBA Since Saturday night will be a late one, we are thinking that we will have a
late breakfast at the Ogle Haus and then drive a short distance along the
river for our "good-byes"
and more pictures. We can discuss more

options for those of you that will attend FunFest. B&J

I'll be thinking of "youse guys". I will be just finishing up from Vette Feste at Mid America in Effingham. Getting ready to "scare the pants" off of everybody at my annul jaunt to Ft Worth Texas to be an actor in the "Hangmans House of Horror". I like putting people down on their backs on the floor (cause I scare them, not what you think)!!!!
Hops to see some of you in Effingham at the C3VR Booth.

Patty And I are in for the dinner cruise. Looks pretty fancy. Is it casual or do I need to borrow a tux from Tux?
