I wanna get started early on this, Who is planning on going to Bloomington Gold this summer or Maybe is thinking about it? Maybe we can get organized enough to get club treatment there, like a section where we can all park together and shoot the Sh*t. Maybe we all meet at one of the local members houses for a cook out or something. I live about 20 minutes from where its held. Its a huge event and is easy to get lost in the crowd if we dont organize something.

here is the link about the event: Bloomington GoldTumarr38449.8152083333

Vette(s): SOLD - "The Toy" - '70 Convertible
SOLD - "The Beast" - '90 ZR-1 (#682)
SOLD - "Betty" - '28 Ford Model A Tudor
Sold - "BLKBRRD" - '78 Pontiac Trans Am
"BLUBYU" - '04 Coupe

I've been thinking about it seeing as I can't make it to C3X this year.  If I do go I'd probably drive down on Friday, attend the show on Saturday, and drive back home on Sunday.  Have to check the calendar in the kitchen (and more importantly the one in my bride's head!  ) before making a commitment.

A C3VR gathering of some sort would be great!  I haven't been to the 'Windy City' area since driving "The Toy" home from Pittsburgh five years ago.

This might be an option for trying to get into the show as a group: GoldClubs

Vette(s): 1969 Corvette Stingray Convertible. Just bought it from my uncle who owned it since 1971. Fathom green, green interior. 350/300, T400.

I'll be there Sat and Sun. I won't be driving the 'Vette though ( I might want to buy something larger than a bread box lol).

[/QUOTE]   That's my problem too. I'm always looking to buy stuff.  I'll be there early Friday and Saturday.  Mike

But the vettes on parade is so much fun to do! Well maybe the c3vr members can just meet for lunch or something. Well see.

Vette(s): It's a 1976 L-48 auto Red with Firethorn and white delux interior, 68,000 miles. I have tried to restore it to NCRS specs and have recieved 1 Bronze 3 Silver, 1 Gold Spinner and Top Gun, Best C3 Vette at Chicago's Chevy/Vette Fest.

I am still deciding on going as of yet.  I am trying to work a deal to get a friend of mine and her husband to drive their C6 down here from Oregon and another friend from Michigan in her C5 for the event.  If they do decide to come then for sure I will be there.  I was thinking of having the car judged, but I keep finding little things here and there to do before I spend the large bank to have it judged.  Restoration is a never ending battle.

I will be having a cookout immediately following the road tour. It will be on Saturday, June 25, at approximately 7:30 PM. I'm still working out a few details, but I will post here soon. I would really hope that any C3VR people who are attending can make it. There will be a fair sized contingent of my Corvette Forum friends there as well.

sounds like our best bet for a C3vr get together in chicago. Unless the unexpected happens, I'll be at your cook out steve.
