I'm fairly sure Hank and Bill will make it as well.   Has anyone heard from Charley and LeAnne in Portage lakes?  They are close by.

I think I will have to go with the date I have so far.  Mark is right.  There are too many other things going on.  So there we have it.   Aug 26, 2006. 

Now to get the rest planned.  It won't be too complex and fancy.  I'm still open to suggestions.

I am up for it as well and too have to play it by ear as my job sends me away at the last minute sometimes. I won't need a room since my dad lives in the Kenmore area, only 15 minutes from the Falls. Is there anything going on at Summit Racing that weekend? Maybe that can be tied into your plans. I remember when Summit Racing started out in an old gas station on Kenmore Blvd where East Ave, 224 and Wooster RD meets on the Akron. Now if I can get my dog in the back of the Vette for a 650 mile ride without driving me crazy I will be all set.

That was Summit's second location.  The first was in the founders parent's basement.   He found he could save money on hot rod parts by buying bulk and selling to his buddies.

I know a lot of plans will change as time gets closer, but I do need to start some planning soon.  I hope it's a good turnout!

Barring anything unforseen, I've got it marked off to be there.

The park is booked.  Saturday Aug 26/06  Banners supplied by Iron82 will be hung up.

I spoke with Summit Racing about possiblily getting a tour during our drive.  I plan on going by Derby Downs where the All American Soap Box Derby is held, the Goodyear blimp hanger which is a HUGE structure, and several other places not yet determined.    The route will just be a cruise, but instructions will be printed in case we get split up in traffic.   Then we can get back together and stay in a group.  Maybe a poker run would be possible.  Not sure on that one yet.  I would like your thoughts.

The grill will be fired up, and I will have some basics.  Hot dogs, Hamburgers, etc.    More meal planning as time gets closer.

I can make up some certificates.  Longest distance, best looking by member vote, ugliest by member vote,  closest distance (except me), and other things like that.  Just for fun.

We will be with in 100 feet of the Cuyahoga River if you perfer a bit of fishing.   I'm still open for other suggestions.

I'm coming down!  Anyone else from Michigan or parts West thereof that are thinking of coming and want to join a caravan over to Cuyahoga, let me know!  I'm seriously considering pulling into CF Friday evening and staying until Sunday morning.

Ken, you had mentioned a list of hotels in the area.  Could you maybe post that so I can call around and reserve a room?  Also, what would be a good point of reference (destination) for directions from Mapquest or Yahoo Maps?

I think I'm going to take the PrideNJoy in to my mechanic and have him give her the once over on the timing and to look see for anything else that might cause me problems on the trip down.  Would hate to have to ride into town on a flat bed.

Looking forward to meeting as many other C3er's as can attend.  I'll be sure to pick up some steaks on the way for that there grill Ken is going to be firing up!

I am for sure going to make it  ..no if's, and's or but's about it!  The best part is that I am going to get to drive  I get my temps this Tuesday.  Can't wait to meet you all! (or whoever comes)

Hey Can i go? Can i go?    Well if the date changes i dont see a problem going and i will drive mine that weekend. no towing it for me again.  Sounds good, i would need to take the weekend and stay down there. i cant drive to and from in one sitting.  carlisle i am going to. and in august there is corvettes at englishtown raceway park which i will be at as well. if the date changes, i will watch and keep an eye out. i am currently talking to about 15 other C3s up by me and have them almost convinced on joining c3vr so hopefully i will bring another caravan down to you.
