While at Fort Wayne when asked of the attending group if they wanted to get together again it was unanimously, YES. Fact of the matter one of the group recommendations was that we get together more often.
This group suggested that we get together again in the Fall. What they didn't realize was that I had been working on exactly that. I had planned to do 2 Cruise In's for the Midwest Region after last year when we met at NCM and talked about Regional Gatherings.
Fort Wayne thanks to Gene's post was a great fit and I hope all of those who attended had a good time.
For a Fall Cruise In I have been in contact with the VOLO MUSEUM. Volo has a huge facility and something to offer to all ages. It is located in Volo, Il. which is approxamately 50 miles from Chicago.
A date has been set for this event on October 17th -19th. This is their Toys For Tots Drive and I thought that if the Midwest members would like to attend then they could request other Registry members donate to them and each vehicle could bring items with them. All toys would be donated to the museum in the name of the C3Vette Registry Midwest Region.
Hotel Information is now available for registration in the link provided.
A sign up post of "Who will be Attending" is up and anAgenda has been posted.
This area offers alot to do so be sure to click on each of the links provided by Volo.
Also be sure not to miss a special treat when we visit An American Classic On Saturday!
thanks! Tux...

Sounds good Tux. Keep us posted. If we can be of assistance you know the number.
After the blast Patty and I had in Ft. Wayne, I wouldn't miss it for the world. Looks like a good idea ya have there Tux. I thought we were a pretty good team as for the last one, so I would love to be there for ya. Even if its shooting emails with ideas, or a "supporting member". LOL

Hey the thought occured to me that some folks might have the impression this is specifically for the Midwest folks. IT'S NOT....!
Fact is this event is being held in lieu of NCM not holding the C3 Extravaganza.
It was a great time last year at Bowling Green and nice to see some familiar faces from other parts of the country. I just wanted to clarify that this is definately open to anyone who wants to attend.
I will be posting attendee sign up thread yet this weekend for those who are interested.
For general info and chit chat this thread will remain as a reference point and be linked to the sign up thread.

Okay, I have a SIGN UP POST up now. I have spoken with the museum and can get us in for $4.50 if we have more than 15 attending members and each person brings toys for the Toys for Tots Drive on Saturday.
I have a tentative price for lodging of $89.00 at the Hampton Inn. I am going to continue to research other hotels as wellfor a better price.
I have an inside contact helping me at Volo to establish a few other perks and discounts.
At this time if any of you have some questions or comments please post them up.
And yes...... I will be trying to find a Go cart Track......

Hi Tux, we took a drive upto Lake Geneva and got some info. We are also looking into a scenic drive thru Kettle Morian. Let me know how what you think. I will work some mileage est., so we have an idea how long all this will take. Check out these sights and let us know if they will work. Dick

Count me in also. Speaking of the Kettle Morraine area, the old road race courses in the Elkhart Lake area in the early fifties before Road Amercia was built have been marked as some sort of state landmark. Crusiung un that area would be awesome. I know of a fabulous little steak house in the village of St. Anna WI that would be a wonderful place for dinner. I will do some checking and see what I can find out....but it might be too far from teh Chicago area as Elkhart Lake is north of Milwaukee
