We have a few Corvette events on our possibilities schedule for the year. I've been adding them to the Vette Event Calendar. Is that the preference, or should they be listed here?

Thanks,
Leann

Charlie and Leann,  I see you are in Akron.  I'm in Cuyahoga Falls.  I work in N. Canton.  Very close. You know what that means in the future.  Come on warm weather!

Hi Ken

Yep, we sure are close- actually we're halfway between your home and work... in the lakes.

I'm not so sure about the warm weather coming... Not with the way its been lately. YECH Were you able to get a cruise or two in this winter? Ours hasn't been out all season. Either snow or the even more dreaded, salt.

Click on the link at the bottom of my post.  The one with no paint is my car.  Way too much work to do to get a cruise right now.  I would just settle for a garage to put it in.  It's under a car cover in the driveway.   And we do have salt.

By the way, you should not park the car in the lakes,  just real close to them. ( sorry I couldn't resist )  It's a nice area.  At one time you were almost in Wink's for those cruise in.  Still, they are not too far away.  It's been along time from last I stopped in.  It' been over 30 years the last time I made it to the Father's Day show at Stan H.  I never remember how to spell that.   I always say I will make it this year, and never do.  I do make it to the Front Street mall once in a while on Monday nights for the show there in the summer.  But then, that's only about 6 blocks from home.

Do you remember "Car Time" on WAKR radio several years ago?  That was me.  Don't confuse that with "Car Talk" on tv 29.  Although I did co-host that in the beginning, I could not take it any longer.  Randy is a good guy, but we had very different ideas of what the show should be.

You can certainly add the events in this forum if you wish to.  But continue to send them in so they get listed in the Events Calendar.  Once they're listed in the calendar an e-mail notification will get sent to every member (who has elected to be notified) in the region prior to the event.

Thanks for the info, Jim! I'll do that.

Ken, I did catch your in-progress car (still looking at/through everything here) Looks like a fun project!

WInks still has the huge cruises. We've heard about Cuyahoga Falls, but went to a couple of the cruises at Summit Racing (same night SHEESH) Our hearts are really at Quaker City with his car, but like to get to a few of the shows/cruises with my car.

Haven't been to the Stan Hywet show in years, but last time I remember it was a little tooooooooooooo much 'collector car' for our tastes. Hehehe

We haven't been to many of the Corvette shows, but did get to the gathering in Columbus last year, Ricart's show, and McDorman (my FAV) We're thinking of going to the C3 event in KY, but not sure yet.

When do you hope to get your car ready? Are you collecting pieces/parts or assembling?

We go about 20+ years back w/Randy, and he does seem to have very definite ideas about his show/career

Leann

Your right about Stan Hywet, lots of collectors.  But I guess I go so rarely I could still enjoy it.

Yea. Randy is a good guy.  I still consider him a friend, but I haven't seen him in a year or two.  Very opinionated.  But I can be as well, so I can't complain.

My car is a huge project. Right at the moment I'm collection some parts, and doing some work.  Not enough money and not enough time.  But I'll gey there.
