Collector Car Appreciation Day

Join the National Corvette Museum for a NEW event... Collector Car Appreciation Day! This national day was created to raise awareness of the vital role automotive restoration and collection plays in American society.

Friday, July 8, 2011
10am-4pm at the Museum
Additional evening activities in downtown Bowling Green.

All of the activities at the Museum are free, and collector cars will receive a $2.00 discount off regular adult admission for Museum tours.

You won't want to miss the chance to win some great door prizes, too, including a free carburetor of your choice from Holley Performance Products, set of tires from Goodyear, starter car care set from Griot's Garage and free gift cards from O'Reilly Auto Parts!

8:00am Museum Opens
10:00am Car Cruise-In Begins
Event registration / credential pick-up begins
10am-4pm

Vendor Booths, Museum Tours

  • Automotive vendor booths set-up on Corvette Boulevard
  • Guided Museum Tours offered at 10am, 11am, 2pm, 3pm (Save $2.00 off admission when you drive your Collector Car to the Museum!)
  • Corvette Cafe open for breakfast, lunch and snacks

10:00am – 3:00pm

Digital Scavenger Hunt

  • Start on your own schedule (between 10am and 3pm )
  • Get route/clues at Registration Desk (Ticket Booth)
  • Write answers or use your camera/cell phone camera
  • Prize for most correct answers/images
1:45pm - 2:15pm

Seminar: Protecting your Passion – NCM Collector Car Insurance

  • Speaker: Adam Boca, NCM Insurance Agent
  • Located in Chevrolet Theater
2:30pm - 3:15pm

Seminar: NCM Motorsports Park Update

  • Speaker: Wendell Strode
  • Status report and the latest plans for the Museum’s planned Motorsports Park
  • Located in Chevrolet Theater

Collector Car Caravan

  • Staging in front of the Museum
  • Caravan to historic Downtown Fountain Square
  • Caravan departs by 4pm
5:00pm - 7:00pm

Car Display, Dining and Shopping Downtown

  • Special paved parking available behind US Bank in conjunction with the Pontiac Oakland International Convention.
6:30pm

Free Concerts in the Park

  • 6:30pm at Fountain Square Park - The Thornz featuring Lindsey Lea (classic rock / pop)
  • 7:30pm at Circus Square Park - Tyrone Dunn Experiment (soul/R&B/funk) * Also the Duncan Hines Festival
7:05pm

Bowling Green Hot Rods Baseball Game

  • Gates open at 6:05pm, Game starts at 7:05pm
  • Hot Rods play the Lake County Captains from Michigan
  • Special Ticket Prices:
    • $7 when you pre-register online through the NCM site
    • $8.50 on-site at NCM the day of the event
    • $10 at the gate
