Corvette Clubs Lending a Helping Hand

We are thrilled when we have Corvette Clubs from across the U.S. come for special weekend visits, and this past weekend we welcomed 64 members of Circle City Corvette Club of Indianapolis, IN.

Their main objective was to volunteer and help with many needed projects such as mailing out show materials, clean up projects around the Museum, preparing member packages, sorting build sheets, relocating lifts and so much more. This was the club’s sixth year to come for a work day, which also included a specially planned dinner in the Museum’s Skydome. We appreciate the support of the many clubs who regularly volunteer their time to help us. If your club would like to volunteer at the Museum or enjoy a weekend visit, please contact Membership Services Manager, Stephanie Morrill at: stephanie@corvettemuseum.com

Corvette Racing Has a Flawless Run at Long Beach

It was a new venue for the American Le Mans Series but a familiar result in the GT1 class as Oliver Gavin and Olivier Beretta drove their No. 4 Compuware Corvette C6.R to their third straight win of the season. The two Ollies completed 71 laps on the 1.968-mile Grand Prix of Long Beach street circuit, finishing .349 seconds ahead of the No. 3 Compuware Corvette C6.R driven by Jan Magnussen and Johnny O'Connell. Read the complete release at: www.corvetteracing.com

Corvette Racing’s next event is the Grand Prix of Houston, the third of three consecutive street races, on Saturday, April 21. The 2-hour, 45-minute race on the 1.7-mile JAGFlo Speedway at Reliant Park temporary street circuit will begin at 5:30 p.m. local time (6:30 p.m. EDT). It will be televised tape-delayed by CBS Sports on Sunday, April 29, from 1-3 p.m. EDT.
