Corvette Celebration Pre-Registration Ends in Seven Days!

Pre-registration for our Labor Day Weekend – Corvette Celebration ends Wednesday, August 17. All pre-registered participants will be entered into a special drawing for rides in a new Z06 and will also receive a specially designed commemorative dash plaque, lapel pin and customized event badge.

This year’s celebration is scheduled for September 1-4 and new updates to the activity lineup are added to the online schedule daily. Judy and Lance Miller will be in the Chevrolet Theater on Friday for a memorable hour in honor of Hall of Fame Inductee, Chip Miller, followed by an exciting seminar from GM Designer/Hall of Fame Inductee, Randy Wittine. Other new updates to the event include a must attend for lapel pin collectors – “Pin Trading Village” on Friday and Saturday and a fun seminar by the “Wives of Corvette” – Karen Hill, Virginia Storzbach, Liz Cooksey and Carolyn Peters. Register online before August 17 by visiting our website at: http://www.corvettemuseum.com/registration/celebration/regis tration.shtml
We hope you can make plans to join us!

Corvette Clubs Heading Our Way

We were excited to welcome the Nebraska Corvette Club visiting last weekend and look forward to seeing members of the Carolina Corvette Club, Windy City Corvette Club and Columbia Corvette Club – all visiting the Museum over the next few weeks.

These clubs will enjoy tours of the Museum and Corvette Assembly plant and scheduled activities arranged prior to their visit. Luncheons, dinners in the Museum, special road tours, customized badges featuring your club’s name/logo and much more can be arranged for your Corvette Club outing at the Museum. We invite you to schedule a visit for your club and enjoy a day or weekend planned just for you. Find out more about scheduling a visit by clicking here: http://www.corvettemuseum.com/clubs/

Corvette Plant’s Customer Assistant Gets New Responsibilities

Kevin Tarrence is taking on new responsibilities and assuming the title of Vehicle Promotion and Assistance Contact (VPAC) for the Corvette Assembly Plant.

As VPAC, Kevin will be able to assist non-GM employees and referral customers with vehicle promotions, sales referrals, and customer issues and concerns. Once a customer has exhausted solutions to a vehicle concern with the dealership and the product division, VPACs can be contacted to assist employees or referred customers in the resolution of their vehicle issue or concern. Before, if a customer had an issue with their car, Kevin would have to refer them to customer assistance. Now he can help diagnose their problems and assist them with resolving their issues. Kevin says he really enjoys giving private tours and getting to meet people from all over the U.S. He likes to see how the people on the line interact with the customers.

Breaking the R8C Museum Delivery Record

We will break the record for Museum Deliveries this year over our biggest year of the program’s history!

Since the program’s initiation in 1996, 2003 had yielded the highest number totaling 741 deliveries. Over 719 Museum deliveries have already taken place this year and we have over 50 deliveries already scheduled for August - taking this year to the top. “It is a real pleasure to meet the new Corvette owners taking delivery at the Museum each day and the delivery experience is just the beginning of the journey,” – R8C Delivery Program Manager, Gary Cockriel. “We get to spend quality time with the owners during the hands-on process and the private tours, and we continue to hear how important taking delivery at the Museum is.” If you are considering ordering a new Corvette, find out more about taking delivery at the Museum through the R8C Museum Delivery – “Option R8C”. A one-year individual membership to the Museum, hands-on introduction with a delivery team member, special plaque and decal and much more are part of the experience. Museum deliveries are also viewed world-wide via our webcams available at: http://www.corvettemuseum.com/webcam/index.shtml

Contact Museum Delivery Program Manager, Gary Cockriel at: (800) 205-4248 or gary@corvettemuseum.com to schedule your Corvette delivery. Additional details are also available via our website at: http://www.corvettemuseum.com/ncm_delivery/index.shtml
