Corvette celebrities will be in abundance at the event and include Tom Wallace - Vehicle Line Executive & Chief Engineer Performance Cars , Tadge Juechter - Chief Engineer Corvette and XLR, Harlan Charles – Corvette Product Manager, Tom Peters and Kirk Bennion - Corvette Design Team and Gary Claudio – Corvette Marketing Manager for Corvette and Corvette Racing. An autograph session with these and other celebrities is scheduled for Saturday at 4:00 p.m. – have your collectibles ready! All road tour excursions to area attractions are sold out with the exception of the Diamond Caverns excursion limited to only 68 participants. Approximately 35 slots are left – be sure to add this to your registration package before this adventure books up. On Thursday, August 31 our volunteers will lead a group of 100 Corvettes on a parade through Bowling Green. Space is filling fast and you must add this activity to your registration in order to be a part of the Corvette parade. No additional fee required. When registering for the event, don’t forget to reserve your free Corvette club show space on the field to gather with your club members and display your club’s collectibles and memorabilia. Clubs with the best decorated tents and those traveling the farthest will be awarded! Show field space is limited and can be reserved by contacting Adam Boca at: adam@corvettemuseum.com Get your game on skills warmed up and be a part of our mini Olympic/pentathlon games where you can participate in a scavenger hunt, gimmick tour, slow drags, golf chip challenge and creeper race. The games are open to everyone in attendance – play solo or with a team of friends. Prizes will be awarded. Contact Adam if you plan to play! "I have lots of experience driving front-engined, rear-drive cars but this is a completely different machine," Papis said. "I'll be in the paddock listening to every piece of advice I can get.” Papis was actually first influenced to compete in a NASCAR road course event by the late Randy Dorton, the former director of engine development at Hendrick Motorsports. |
