Z06 Wins “Spin of the Year”

MPH Magazine has named the Corvette Z06 its No. 1 Spin of the Year.

In a podcast released on Friday, FastLane radio host Deb Ochs interviews Eddie Alterman, editor in chief of MPH Magazine, about voting the Corvette Z06 as the top Spin of the Year. Alterman talks about how fast and responsive the car is, and says it's the best car the domestic auto industry has ever produced. Charitable Deductions for Year-End Tax Planning

A new tax law, the Katrina Emergency Tax Relief Act, provides that between August 28th and December 31st, 2005, donations to public charities are deductible up to 100% of adjusted gross income.

This temporarily removes the normal deduction limits. Stocks and other property gifts do not qualify for this special deduction. If you would like to take advantage of this temporary tax relief and make a donation to the NCM, you may do so online at: http://www.corvettemuseum.com/donations/ Donations may also be made by check or phone at: (800) 53-VETTE.

High Performance Driving School Tentatively Planned For June 2006

We are pleased to announce that our second high performance driving school is tentatively set for June 5-6 at Putnam Park Racetrack in Mount Meridian, Indiana, approximately 50 miles west of Indianapolis.

We will have two sessions for the beginner/novice group as well as slots for intermediate, advanced and instructors. The school will be limited to 70 participants. The 1.8-mile, 10-turn track has small elevation changes and large clear run-off areas. The track is ideal for both the beginning student and the experienced driver. Ron Fellows tested the C5-R at Putnam along with other cars and the list of track pros include Johnny O'Connell, John Heinricy and Andy Pilgrim to name a few. Registration will be opening in early January – stay tuned for more updates via NCM eNews and our website at: http://www.corvettemuseum.com/registration/HPDE/agenda.shtml

Corvette and Cadillac Set Sales Records in Europe

Corvette and Cadillac’s European sales figures have reached an all-time high in 2005.

With a few weeks to go, the sixth-generation Corvette is on its way to becoming the most popular Corvette model ever in Europe. Sales for 2005 have already exceeded 1,000 units, a new European record for the vehicle. More than 400 pre-orders have already been taken for the 2006 Z06, the fastest and most powerful Corvette ever offered. Cadillac sales are already up almost 50 percent over full year sales in 2004.

The new Corvettes may be quick and responsive but when you see one heading toward you, you can't tell if it is a vette or a toyota, camero, ect. Buy c-3s or older and stay young and Special. gene
