Year End Tax Donation Planning

As a Museum supporter, we want to share some information with you that may help you this month.

If you own appreciated stocks and property, you may be able to greatly benefit by giving a year-end gift to the National Corvette Museum before December 31, through several options:

An IRA rollover gift - If you are age 70 and older, a new law allows you to make a tax-free charitable distribution from your IRA up to $100,000.

A gift of appreciated securities - By giving the appreciated value to the NCM, you could avoid capital gains tax and receive a deduction.

A gift of property - avoid capital gains tax and earn a charitable deduction based on a qualified appraisal of the fair market value of an unencumbered property which you donate to the NCM before December 31.

Information and specifics on year-end tax donations to the Museum can be found via our website at: http://www.corvettemuseum.com/planned_giving or by calling us at: (800) 53-VETTE. We appreciate the support you have given in 2006 and all you do to help the Museum.

Auction of Corvette Parts

Have you visited eBay’s Motor section lately?

The NCM received several pallets of new manufactured Corvette parts from Guide Corporation, and these items are being placed on eBay and proceeds benefit the Museum. The parts are for model year Corvettes - going back to the 1950's.  Most parts are NOS and include grills, chrome pieces, headlamps, lenses and more.  We will be putting up a few parts each week on eBay for auction and invite you to view the parts and to make a bid at: http://motors.search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZnationalcorvette
