Join us at the Classic Corvette Extravaganza
If you enjoy the nostalgia of early Corvettes, then you will want to join us in celebrating the “Classic Corvettes” on October 11-13, 2007. For 3 days, participants will be able to turn back the clock and enjoy activities focused on the historic early generations - the Solid Axles, Midyears and Sharks.
The event features a choice of road tour excursions, a road tour to capture a scenic group photo, seminars on the old and new of Corvette, a car show and closes with a banquet and auction in the Museum’s Skydome. Whether you are a long time classic Corvette owner or a fan of the classic styles, there is something for everyone during the Classic Corvettes Extravaganza. Corvettes Needed for Display
 We are in search of a 1976 and 1977 Corvette to put on display inside the Museum. The display will be needed for at least 9 months and no longer than 12 months.

New Corvette/GM Parts Auction – 7 New Items Up for Bid
There are 7 new manufactured Corvette and GM parts from Guide Corporation available and up for bid on eBay Motors – and the proceeds benefit the NCM!
Most parts are NOS and include grills, chrome pieces, headlamps, turn signal switches, lenses and more – new items are added weekly. In addition to Corvette parts, you will find parts for other vehicles such as the Pontiac Grand Prix, Olds Cutlass, Blazer, Suburban and others. Performance Tour II Update
 We have 9 open slots remaining on the Performance Tour II event scheduled for September 7-8 which is limited to only 30 cars due to the private nature of this exciting tour. This unique event experience will include a detailed and comprehensive tour of Pratt & Miller where participants will see Corvette, Pontiac and Cadillac race cars and learn what makes them so dominant on the race track.
You will also visit the GM "Toy Box" where all of the collector cars and show vehicles are kept, many of significant historical value. Visit the Performance Build Center in Wixom and enjoy the banquet at GM's private Museum as well. And then there is the day spent at Milford Proving Ground - a one time access where you will drive your car through the top secret proving grounds, try your hand at autocross at Black Lake, get your car photographed on one of the famous Milford tracks and even have a chance at a ride on the Milford Road Course with its copy of the Nurburgring’s carousel. A banquet at the Heritage Center will round out the event where participants will be in a drawing for race souvenirs.

Pace Car Raffle Drawing in Less than One Week
There are approximately 700 tickets left on the 2007 Corvette Indy Pace Car Convertible raffle and we have less than 1 week until our winner is drawn on Wednesday, July 25 at 2:00 p.m. CT. The winner will be drawn regardless of the number of remaining tickets, which are limited to only 2,007 to be sold.
Only 500 of the pace cars were available for sale and this raffle will offer a great opportunity to become a collectible pace car owner.  Show news continues and our thanks and appreciation goes out to the many show coordinators who support the Museum with booth space and donations from their show proceeds. NCM Executive Director, Wendell Strode will be in attendance at the Corvette show at Hubbard Chevrolet in Ohio this weekend and Museum Delivery Program Manager, Gary corkriel will be attending the Black Hills show this weekend.
