Additional Acreage Obtained for Educational Motorplex Park!

We have acquired 70 plus acres to be used for the development of an Educational Motorplex Park to be located across the interstate from the Museum.

The Motorplex Park will offer a ¼ mile drag strip, 1.5 mile road track and an autocross/skid pad area. The Motorplex Park will be available for rent to Corvette Clubs for their educational and competitive use and will be an educational facet during NCM events.

Conceptual plans and more information will be announced in August. 

There are only three weeks left on the 2008 Black Corvette Coupe raffle! Tickets are available at $250 each and only 500 are being made available. Many of our raffles sell out prior to the drawing and regardless of the number of remaining tickets on any raffle – a winner is drawn!

Searching for a Few Historic Motorama Show Cars

We are in the process of final selections for the Historic Motorama II scheduled in September and still have a few model year Corvettes not represented.

Registration is now open for our first ever PrimeDrive taking place on June 30 at Virginia International Raceway!  

This mini-school open to only 25 participants will allow students a chance to sample a driving program with minimal commitment to help them evaluate the opportunity in participating in a full scale driving school. Students will receive classroom instruction, a lap session on the track with an instructor and a ride-along during an instructor run session.

A total of 18 commemorative shovels were used as part of our expansion ground breaking that took place at the recent Bash event. The shovels were used during the ceremony by dignitaries, board members and supporters, and three were sold during the event at $1,000 each as a fundraiser to benefit the building campaign.

One of the shovels will be on display in the Library and Archives and the remaining 13 are being offered for sale at $1,000 each.
