Chevrolet Owners Treated to Exclusive Experience at Indy Motor Speedway

Race fans at Indianapolis Motor Speedway this weekend may be surprised to see almost 10 times the normal field when 300 Chevrolets circle the legendary 2.5-mile oval.

Saturday’s lap around the track by Chevrolet owners is part of a special Corvette celebration taking place this weekend in conjunction with the company’s role as the Official Pace Car of the 2007 Indianapolis 500.

Chevrolet, pacing the Indianapolis 500 for the 18th time this weekend, will host Corvette and Camaro owners from across Indiana for a once-in-a-lifetime experience at the historic speedway. On Saturday, nearly 24 hours before the Indianapolis 500 gets underway, the Chevy owners will drive their personal Corvette or Camaro around the track and gather for a group photo at the speedway’s famed yard of bricks. Following the parade lap and photo, guests will spend the evening at the Chevy display where food, live entertainment and a full-display of Chevy race and production vehicle s (including an exhibit of all nine Corvette Indianapolis 500 pace cars) will be on hand. http://www.indianapolismotorspeedway.com
