Guitars and Corvettes You have another chance to catch MotorWeek’s “Guitars and Corvettes” episode that featured on PBS last week! SPEED will re-air the show tomorrow (November 16) at 3:00 p.m. – check local listings in your area. The episode highlights Paul Reed Smith (PRS) Guitars and their connection with Corvette and you can preview the PRS Guitar/Corvette story by clicking here: http://www.mpt.org/motorweek/autoworld.shtml. The Museum is proud to feature a special display in the Museum showcasing the unique style of guitars offered by PRS. PRS Guitars has also partnered with the Corvette Race Team/GM this year and have participated in several automotive racing events, including their own grassroots racing with NASA racing - sponsorship of the C6R Corvette Racing ALMS team and at the NASCAR’S NEXTEL Richmond Rock & Roll 400. November is Military Appreciation Month
A special $1.00 admission is being offered to all military personnel and their family members during our “Military Appreciation Month” promotion. All branches including active, retired, disabled and reserve members of the armed forces will be honored with the special $1.00 admission received when presenting a military or service ID. Approximately 400 military personnel and family members have visited the Museum since November 1 to take advantage of the special offer. “Corvette is an American icon that represents America and our freedom of choice and liberty,” states NCM Executive Director, Wendell Strode. “This entire month has been set aside to recognize the folks who stand for protecting our country’s freedom.” And the Winner is… Michael Barnes of Missouri City, Texas had the winning ticket, and this past Friday he took delivery of his new Corvette! “I am so glad I participated – this is great!” Michael shared with us. A VIP tour of the Museum and plant was part of the exciting experience, in addition to a one-year membership to the Museum and a hands-on introduction by our NCM delivery team. You could be drawn as the next Corvette raffle winner and only 24 days are left to purchase a ticket!
