The plaques are 6”x10”, come with an aluminum easel for display and are manufactured using a centuries old, lost wax investment casting process. The process creates raised lettering made from production aluminum tooling.
We also have professional framing available for your etched image (shown here). This is definitely a "one of a kind" gift for that special someone on your list! Order just in time for Christmas! Click here or call Betty at 800-538-3883 ext. 141. |

Betty Skelton Pays Special Visit to NCM
NCM received a very special visit today from Corvette Hall of Famer, retired land speed record car driver and acrobatic airplane pilot Betty Skelton Erde! Betty and husband Allan were passing through on their way from their home in The Villages, Florida to Ashland, North Carolina for Thanksgiving with Allan's sister. Betty had not been to the Museum since our expansion was completed and was very excited to see our new "Hall of Fame" in the Skydome.
"What you've done with the Museum since we were last here, is just amazing. The collection of cars and the exhibits are fantastic,” Betty said.
Betty, who set 17 aviation and automobile records, was known as "the First Lady of First" and helped create opportunities for women in aviation, auto racing, astronautics and advertising. |
Sweet Rides for the Wounded Warriors
It's not what you think!
It may look like Edd Chenoweth is about to have a very bad day. In fact it was quite the opposite. What looks like a couple of Huntsville Alabama's finest about to get up close and personal is actually the tail end of an escort of his club to the Veterans Day Parade. Their club, Vets with Vettes and Corvette Owners was honored to provide rides in the parade for over 30 Wounded Warriors and many of their spouses. "As much as they were excited about getting a ride (and in some cases getting to drive) in these beautiful machines, the honor was all ours and the least we could do for our wounded servicemen," Edd P Chenoweth, "BRNNRBR". | |

CEREMONIAL TREE PLANTING AT GM CORVETTE ASSEMBLY PLANT

Plant Manager Dave Tatman (holding tree) and UAW Chairman Shane Colvard (with the shovel)
“We want to give something back to the community and the opportunities are endless with a habitat like this. We want area schools to use it for outdoor teaching sessions and we invite local groups, such as Boy and Girl Scouts, to use the habitat for tree planting projects, construction of bird/bat houses, butterfly habitats, and more.” --Dave Tatman |
