North Texas Club Supports Veterans

Continuing with our Military Appreciation Month, this week's story comes from the North Texas Corvette Club of Denton, Texas; Chuck Smith, Ambassador:

For the past several years, the North Texas Corvette Club has paid a visit to the U.S. Military Veterans who are residents of the Rayburn VA Medical Center in Bonham, Texas.  Usually on a late summer or early fall Saturday afternoon, thirty or more NTCC members, many who are veterans themselves, travel to the VA hospital at Bonham.  While there we visit with the resident veterans, express our appreciation for their service and sacrifices, and offer them rides around the hospital campus in our Corvettes.  The day provides the veterans with an interesting break from their routines.  Also, it gives our members a chance to share the joy of friendly company and the pleasure that comes from our Corvettes with folks who don’t normally have such opportunities.  For many, it’s their first opportunity in life to ride in a Corvette, something most thought they would never have a chance to do.

TUESDAY NITE TRIVIA

This week's trivia question was: COPO Camaros are limited production specialty cars. What does COPO stand for?

Congratulations to Layne Smith of Madisonville, KY. He correctly identified it as "Central Office Production Order". Layne scored a mini Papa John's Camaro and free Papa John's Pizza!

You, too, can play Tuesday Nite Trivia by becoming a 'Fan' of NCM on Facebook!
