USA Today Lists the NCM as One of Ten Great Places to Visit

USA Today names the Corvette Museum one of ten great places to get revved up again about cars in their October 28 travel section.

“American’s have always loved their cars because they provide freedom of mobility and for some, image enhancement” stated Thomas L. Bryant, editor in chief of Road & Track Magazine. “If you need to be reminded of why you spend $50 to fill up the tank, come see some of the most fabulous cars ever built, housed in Museums across America.” Petersen’s Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, The National Automobile Museum in Reno, Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan and Indianapolis Motor Speedway Hall of Fame Museum were also mentioned in the ten places to visit.

A Day for NCM Volunteers

Saturday, November 5 was a special day at the NCM dedicated to our NCM Volunteers.

Approximately 100 volunteers from as far as Colorado were in attendance for the special day set aside to honor them for their hard work and dedication throughout the year. Specially priced merchandise and discounts in the Corvette Store, tours of the NCM, and a scenic road tour and lunch were part of the activities. Thank you again to everyone who diligently participates as an NCM Volunteer – we couldn’t do it without you!

You Could Be the Next to Receive the Winning Call

The NCM offers several Corvette raffle fundraisers throughout the year and the folks purchasing the tickets are rarely convinced they will win – until we make the call to one of them.

In about four weeks we will be drawing another winner, and if red is your color and you like great odds – you will want to take a chance. Only 500 tickets will be sold on a 2006 Monterey Red Coupe and tickets are available at $250 each. The drawing will take place at the Museum at 10:00 a.m. CT on Friday, December 9 and the winner need not be present to win. “Not only are these raffle fundraisers important to the Museum’s planning, they are rewarding to the folks who participate,” states NCM Executive Director, Wendell Strode. “It is wonderful to meet winners of the raffle fundraisers who may not have had the opportunity to own a Corvette until their name was drawn. We greatly appreciate the support of our raffles and congratulate everyone who has been drawn as a winner this year.” Tickets are available online at: http://www.corvettemuseum.com/raffle/index.shtml or by calling (800) 53-VETTE. Give a Gift of Corvette Preservation

Preserving Corvette’s future heritage is an important part of the Museum’s mission and there are many opportunities to help us continue this goal and give a gift this holiday season that truly lasts.

Bricks from the original Corvette plant in Flint, Michigan are available through the Museum and can be a monumental gift for the Corvette enthusiast on your list. Purchase a historic Flint brick that can be personalized with your name or Club’s name for your home or office, or join others who have purchased a Flint brick as part of our permanent “Flint Brick Wall” display in the Assembly Plant area of the Museum. Flint brick orders must be placed by Friday, November 25 to be placed or received in time for the Christmas holiday. Find out more about owning a true piece of Corvette’s legacy by visiting our website at: https://www.corvettemuseum.com/flint-bricks/index.shtml
or by calling (800) 53-VETTE.
